9, The Feature Film

The full length feature of 9 was quite intense and followed a well-developed storyline filled with action and mystery. The movie centered around a post-apocalyptic world and featured small figurines sculpted by a doctor. The figurines fought for their lives throughout and one in particular, 9, fought to find out why things were happening the way that they were. There were a lot of things done by the director that contributed to the effects of the film. The audience was able to meet and get to know the characters on a very personal level. This developed each of the characters farther in terms of opinion and helped to justify any of their actions if necessary. The immense character development made the multiple death scenes especially hard to endure. While watching the film, I noticed a few different things that I liked. Scheduling Conflicts

It's officially winter break now! The vacation from school relieves a big portion of our stress and leaves less room for scheduling conflicts. However, it has still proven to be pretty difficult to find a time when everyone is free. Blake and I both have a job that we work regularly. Mine usually consists of long shifts Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, while Blake works mostly on the weekends. In addition to that, Hillery, Chloe, and I also babysit fairly often. Babysitting occurring most often on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Hillery and Chloe also have sports that they practice during the week, Hillery's being with a team. Furthermore, transportation is also sometimes an issue as Blake and I don't always have a car available for us to drive. So, because of all this, it is hard to find blocks of time to film that are long enough to be efficient, but not so long that they run into anyones additional obligations. Marketing and Social Media

 Last week, my group and I worked together to create social media accounts for our film. We made each of the usernames some variation of the movie title and then included the word "film" in order to establish that the account is for a movie rather than an individual person. We created accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. In order to do this we also created an email for our film that each account is linked to. We are all logged into each account and are monitoring their activity closely. Below you can see the logo we have designed and decided to use as profile pictures for the time being. We are discussing as a group the different content we plan to post. In addition to all of the social media platforms we have also created a website that is linked in each of our account profiles.
