Day 3 of Filming
Hey everybody! Another day of filming all done. Today, my group and I met up around 10 AM at GFS. GFS is a grocery store that is nearby where all of us live. We decided against Publix because they are usually fairly crowded and we were afraid of not getting the shots we wanted. When we got to the store we filmed a shot of Hillery’s car pulling into a parking space with Blake driving. Afterwards, we walked in and grabbed a card to use as a prop. We used the script as a guide and made our way through the aisles of food and supplies. Using Hillery’s iPhone 11, we took turns and filmed almost everything twice: once with all of us and once with just Blake. We have a plot twist planned for the ending of our film that requires shots to be done twice. There was only one small problem with the filming at the grocery store, they had copyrighted music playing quietly for the shoppers to enjoy. We did, however, figure out how to manipulate this music in editing so we should be good to go. We only had a small frame of time to get everything done since our class period only lasts from 9:18-10:48. We actually finished in time and each of us raced home as safely as possible in order to be on time to our next class. This is a huge advantage we have found in online school. Because we are all e-learning, we are able to have the freedom to leave our houses during the day and work on projects such as this one. I actually live farther from the filming location than any of my group mates so I didn’t make it home in quite enough time. On the bright side, I was able to join the class on my phone. This flexibility has been extremely important for the success of my group, especially since we have such a hard time finding days to meet up and film. We are going to film quickly tomorrow after school and most likely again on Sunday. After we get those shots our movie will be wrapped and we will move further into the editing phase. See you next time!
